Integrating Pleo into your business

Sep 29, 2022

What is pleo?

Pleo is a smart company card for your business. A centralised business spending solution for forward-thinking teams!

It enables employees to buy the things they need for work, while keeping companies in full control of all spending.

Pleo eliminates expense reports, reduces administrative complexity and simplifies bookkeeping.

Is Pleo suitable for my company?

Pleo works with companies of all sizes, across every industry.

Signing up to Pleo transforms the way your business spends money. It gives power to your people and ensures a whole new level of control (and

security) for finance.

How does it work?

Pleo’s commercial cards are issued by Mastercard, meaning they’re accepted by more than 30 million merchants worldwide. On top of that, you can use your Pleo card with ApplePay and Google Pay.

Your Pleo account is connected to your business bank account. So every time you add funds to Pleo, to help your team buy what they need for work, that money comes out of your business bank account.

Is it easy to use?

Super easy!

Pleo facilitates automated spending. Buy something with a Pleo card, get a notification straight away, snap the receipt, add some basic info, if needed. Pleo will do the rest.

How will it benefit my business?

Cut out the tendinous, time-wasting admin. Empower your employees to buy the things they need so they can focus on what really matters.

Take care of company money by issuing Pleo’s smart company cards with individual spending limits. Your team can buy what they need and Pleo will sort the paperwork automatically.

You can see who’s spending what in real time. Set individual spending limits for each user. No more out of pocket costs or reimbursements.

Do I still need to do my expense reports when using Pleo?

No. The founding idea behind Pleo is to get rid of the expense reports. When you pay for something with your Pleo card, you’ll receive an instant notification on your phone. Snap the receipt, add some basic info about what you’ve bought and that’s it. Pleo software will automatically categorise the purchase.

Managers or finance teams can monitor all transactions in real-time and flag anything that needs more information. When the time is right, transactions can be exported to the accounting system your business uses.

Is it safe?

Every time you spend with your Pleo card, it’s processed by a licensed entity called Pleo Financial Services. This is regulated by the Financial Supervisory Authority, so your money is completely safe.

You will also have the facility to flag anything that doesn’t look right with one tap. You can block or freeze cards if ever needed.

How do I get started?

Naturally, changing how your business handles spending can feel like a really big step. You can organise a pleo demo, they ask plenty of questions about how your team spending is set up right now.

Rolling out Pleo to your team is a piece of cake

Pleo will help you figure out where to start in a way that works for you. That might be issuing cards to the decision-makers in the business to test out our real-time spending overview or getting several teams on board at once.

For an extra layer of protection, Pleo Assurance means managers are alerted when a questionable expense is made so they can decide if it’s okay or not. So, you can trust that you’re always in control of your company’s outgoings.

What happens after my Pleo Demo?

  1. Verify your company.   Submit some important documents to Pleo's Compliance team
  2. Load your wallet.  Transfer money to your Pleo account.
  3. Order cards for your team.  Decide who needs them.
  4. Work out your policies.  Lock down your company guidelines on spending.
  5. Educate your team.  Get your Admins up to speed on Pleo.
  6. Hand out the cards! and make your first Pleo purchases.
